Place d'Italie, towards Trocadero
With its 113 years of existence in its current configuration, line 6 of the metropolitan network has always been of great interest to Parisians and tourists. Over its more than thirteen kilometres, about six aerial routes allow you to discover many of the capital's monuments and become a real feast for the eyes. With more than 100 million passengers per year, it is the sixth busiest line in the Parisian network. I walked part of line 6 between the Place d'Italie and Trocadero stations. On the route, interruptions in the overhead line meant that I had to continue my journey through various streets in Denfert-Rochereau and Montparnasse. The aim was to anchor the slowness in the observation, so that this reportage would bring a different vision of this line, less sweetened, less luminous, especially in the portions of the paths under the imposing steel structure where homeless people and pigeons cohabit in the shadow of the indifference of a scorching summer.
