Sand Grain

For several days, he photographed exclusively with black and white film in 24x36 format, the main coasts of Denmark. Fishing ports of Funen, cliffs of Zealand, industrial ports of central Jutland, endless beaches of North Jutland, long roads on the North Sea side, herbaceous dunes on the Baltic Sea; he traveled about 1,800 km along the Danish coast. With this series, the photographer takes us into this autumnal melancholy where the slightest burst of light grabs us into the depths of his atmospheric shots twilight. His images come together to form a long coastal path where the relative calm of the Baltic Sea gives way to the fury of the North Sea and its strong winds, to sweep us into the forgotten history of the Viking peoples.
